Abstract: This study examines trends in the demand for vocational skills in emerging industries in Nigeria, focusing on sectors experiencing rapid growth and transformation. As the economy diversifies and new industries emerge, there is a critical need to understand evolving skill requirements and align vocational training programs accordingly. The research aims to (1) identify key vocational skills in demand across emerging industries, (2) analyze factors driving skill demand and supply dynamics, and (3) propose strategies for aligning educational offerings with industry needs. A survey research design is justified to gather insights from industry experts, educators, and policymakers. A sample size of 300 participants will be selected through purposive sampling to represent emerging sectors such as renewable energy, digital technology, and healthcare in Cross River State. Case studies will highlight successful skill development initiatives and industry partnerships. Findings indicated a growing demand for technical expertise in digital literacy, renewable energy technologies, and healthcare services, driven by technological advancements and sectoral growth. Recommendations include fostering collaboration between industry and educational institutions, integrating emerging technologies into vocational curricula, and promoting lifelong learning to adapt to evolving industry demands.
